HOTEL PLACE D'ARMES
The Hotel Place d'Armes in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a European-style hotel situated across from the shady chestnut trees of Place d'Armes square, where guests can enjoy views of Notre Dame Basilica. Set at the foot of historic Old Montréal, this 1870s, neoclassic former bank opens to soaring ceilings, arched windows and ornate plaster moldings. The hotel is just a short walk from downtown Montreal, Pointe-À Callières Archeology Museum and Old Port, where guests can rent bicycles for rides along the riverfront. Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport sits 12 miles away.
The Hotel Place d'Armes houses a bar and lounge with a glowing fireplace. Unusual flower arrangements and green bamboo accents add splashes of color to this area, where guests can also enjoy complimentary evening wine, cheese and espresso. Historical views can be enjoyed on the hotel's rooftop terrace, or guests can explore downtown using the hotel's complimentary shuttle.
A complimentary continental breakfast is offered each morning at the Hotel Place d'Armes, and guests can also enjoy lunch and dinner at Aix, the hotel's sophisticated restaurant that serves cuisine such as lamb, rabbit, oysters, bison and seafood from Québec and the Atlantic province. The hotel also has a meeting room, business center and fitness room.
With large, arched windows fitted with slatted blinds and ornate crown moldings, the 135 guestrooms at the nine- story Hotel Place d'Armes contain rosewood-finished furniture. All guestrooms feature bathrobes, slippers, minibars, designer toiletries, cable television, complimentary newspapers, safe-deposit boxes, complimentary high-speed Internet access and telephones with voice mail. Some guestrooms contain jetted tubs, and microwaves are available upon request.

This hotel might even be more then a 10 star hotel. Four in one Hotel. Hotel Pierre Du Calvet may not look like it from the outside but once you've stepped inside one surprise comes after the other. The walls are still the same as there was 288 years ago, some of the furniture handmade by ancient professionals desgined by M. Trottier himself and others that are from the first day this house was founded are simply breathtaking. The birds in the hall are beautiful and puts a lot of color and life in the hotel. The outdoor terrasse is soothing and peaceful. The bedrooms are large rustic but still modernize with flat screen televisions, Wifi, cable etc. There's also a bar with proffesional barmans. There's a restaurant in the hotel, which was opened by an older generation of the Trottier family. The meals are jsut divine and beautiful to look at which makes it a bit hard to want to destroy the magnificent dish the server will place in front of you. To top it all off, The Old Port of Montreal is just out doors. There's no way you can miss out on any event. Visit their website http://hotel-pierreducalvet.com/ or visite http://hotels-montreal.org/ to book for another hotel that' where I found the hotel that I fell in love with Hotel Pierre Du Calvet.
